Tara is an international impact investment professional and strategist with a track record of supporting social enterprise growth, private sector development and startup ecosystems, especially across emerging markets in Africa, the Middle East and the Americas. She has significant gender/economic development experience, including a current role as the Interim Gender Lead for Shell Foundation, overseeing a portfolio of research, enterprise projects and investment partnerships. Previous experiences include strategic analysis of SME-related economic policies for women’s economic empowerment for the World Bank, strategic advisory for Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Project, as well as management of a government-funded program to train over 1,000 women entrepreneurs for the government of Brazil.
